Battle Rap is one of the most popular genres of Hip-Hop; so it is no surprise it continues to be spotlighted on mainstream media. Recently Wale hosted a battle on WWE Smackdown Live and to our surprise, it was pretty entertaining.
For those not in the know, the New Day has been at odds with Tag Team Champions The Usos. Throughout their beef, some bars have been exchanged causing the WWE to bring in Wale to host a formal battle. As a longtime fan of wrestling, the MMG spitter was a perfect choice.
Folarin moderated the lyrical exchange like a true pro; even channeling some of the signature callouts from URL Battles. While neither side came off with Murder Mook worthy punchlines, the teams made things memorable with pop culture references and even the use of props (peep the weeniedo scheme).
