With the release of his latest album, The Autobiography, and his constant dragging of DJ Akademiks, Vic’s name has been buzzing as of late and today drops by The Breakfast Club to speak candidly on a few things.

From admitting the simple reason behind his infamous Lil Yachty diss line to why he doesn’t like DJ Akademiks, Vic Mensa proves that he’s one of the few rappers in the game that has no hairs on his tongue.

1. No Sweat

Even though Jay-Z called him a “once in a lifetime artist” he doesn’t feel any pressure to live up to expectations.

Vic says that he “doesn’t want to drag DJ Akademiks around Chicago anymore” but does feel he’s a “phony” and “doesn’t have a place in the culture past being a “parasite.” Damn!

He’s had police in Lollapalooza tell attendees not to go to Vic Mensa shows. The hate is real. Vic maintains that he doesn’t hate all police, he just hates “crooked cops” and the system that enables them to get away with their crimes.
