Rashan Michel, who is connected to a federal NCAA basketball bribery probe alongside former NBA player Chuck Person, has been around the game in a variety of capacities. It has been revealed that Michel, best known today as a high-end fashion designer in Atlanta, once caught a vicious eye jammy at the hands of former NBA legend Dominique Wilkins.

TMZ Sports reports:

Turns out, Rashan Michel — a high-end suit maker — has been on TMZ before. Let’s go back to 2011 when he fought Wilkins after an NBA basketball game in Atlanta … and got punched HARD right in his eye.

At the time, Michel claimed Wilkins owed him $13,000 for custom suits — so he tried to confront Wilkins at a basketball game. He got punched for his trouble and arrested for battery. He took a mug shot with a shiner under his eye.

Michel, a former NBA official, and owner of Thompson Bespoke Clothing, was named in a 32-page federal indictment that pinned him and current Auburn University assistant coach Person with charges of conspiracy, bribery, and other charges by way of an FBI sting. According to several outlets, Michel and Person received around $91,500 from an FBI witness who worked with the agency in the months-long probe.

Person acted on behalf of Michel to guide Auburn players to sign with finance managers within their network and to buy suits exclusively from Michel.
