Cam Newton apologized to everybody. The NFL QB offered up a mea culpa via a video he posted on Twitter.

Earlier this week, Cam went full sexist, laughing at a female reporter’s questions about routes.

The blowback was swift, with Oikos Greek Yogurt dropping Newton as a sponsor. Late yesterday, he dropped a video on Twitter apologizing.

“After careful thought, I understand that my word choice was extremely degrading and disrespectful to women,” said the Carolina Panthers quarterback. “To be honest, that was not my intentions. And if you are a person who took offense to what I said, I sincerely apologize to you.”

Fortunately, Newton went beyond the sorry if you were offended jig.

He added later in the clip, “What I did was extremely unacceptable. I’m a father to two beautiful daughters and I try to instill in them that they can be anything that they want to be. The fact that during this process I have already lost sponsors and countless fans I realize that the joke is really on me. I have really learned a valuable lesson from this.”

Alright, the man apologized. If he demonstrates more contrition via his actions, all the better.
