The fact that Drake’s entertainment history is rooted in his role as paraplegic Jimmy Brooks on teen show Degrassi has been the stigma that’s kept Hip-Hop purists from fully giving Drake his rap props.
But that’s never bothered Drake and now he’s even adding to that chapter in his life by beginning to pen a new episode that will see him produce and possibly star in some feature films.
In an interview for The Hollywood Reporter the music superstar opened up about his upcoming projects, almost working with Harvey Weinstein, and what he has in store for his future wife.

1. Behind The Camera
Drake and his manager /business partner Adel ‘Future’ Nur are producing their first movie The Carter Effect based on Vince Carter’s career in Toronto. Drake is also teaming up with Netflix to bring back a British crime series called Top Boy.

2. Night Owl
Drake says his music “wheels just start spinning faster than most peoples” after the witching hour until past dawn. He also admits he prefers a quiet atmosphere when he’s working. Doesn’t like too many people around distracting him.

3. Potter Head
Drake is a fan of J.K. Rowlings Harry Potter series and has been looking for a first edition to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. He may or may not have dropped $160,000 on one.

4. Harvey Weinstein
Disgraced Hollywood moguel Harvey Weinstein once wanted Drake to star in a film called The Heist, but Drake turned him down when some people in the know gave him bad feedback about working the rapist.

5. Jewish
Drake says that he identifies “as Jewish” in the sense that “I am a person who, you know, I talk to God. I just try to live a very good life, to be a good person. I’m not necessarily extremely religious, but my mom and I always do the high holidays together.”

6. Comes With Baggage
Ever the romantic, Drake confesses that he’s been collecting Birkin bags for years as a “gift for the woman I end up with.” Expect materialistic women to really throw themselves at Drake now.

7. Taking A Break
Drake knows his music days will come to an end in the future but for now he’ll be taking six months to a year off to make some “great films.”

8. Super Drake?
Movies studios have offered Drizzy everything from rebooting the Barbershop series to being a sidekick for superheroes. Seeing Drake with a cape would be kind of weird. Maybe he could just bring back the scarf look or something.
