The argument between Kat and Ryan continues on Black Ink Crew Chicago this week until Ryan runs out of the shop. But before crossing the threshold, he’s sure to throw this jab: “I could fight back with you but I don’t have to do that sh*t.”
It’s one final middle finger to Kat and her feelings (until the next time, at least).

Van, Charmaine and pretty much everyone else in the building has sided with Kat but realistically speaking, it is Ryan’s tattoo parlor and if he doesn’t want someone there, even if that person helped build the brand, they shouldn’t be there. Personally speaking, they shouldn’t even want to be there. Still, Ryan’s a real prick for letting his lack of self control ruin relationships but again, “f*ck boy behavior”…

Back at the shop, Van arranges a joint appointment with Kat to ink a couple of tribute pieces on Trayvon Martin’s dad and “another father who lost his son” (is it weird that they didn’t say that man’s name?). Van finally tattoos this season, the tats are amazing, the pics end on IG and Ryan returns to the shop to bark on the staff. As usual.
Everyone jumps to Kat’s defense and Van is ready to fight Ryan over his decision at this point, even lifting Phor out of the way to get to him. Amazingly, they don’t end up tearing the shop apart. And Van’s still on probation. He’s gotta chill.
Charmaine and Neek’s relationship is bound to go through changes in the coming months as he shares that he will be headed to Africa for a six-month-long work project. “As an engineer of weather systems and sh*t…,” she boasts happily. But spends the rest of the episode trying to figure out ways to make him stay home in Chicago, even buying an engagement ring and completely embarrassing herself trying to propose at the lingerie housewarming. Drunk AF. Neek doesn’t accept. “You know I love you but this ain’t the time,” he says. We like Neek.
Junior flirts with Drunk Lily. She gets pissed off. He swears off her. You know, the reg. Later, she ends up tonguing Kat down in Phor and Nikki’s kitchen, with Van, Phor and Don staring through the balcony window. Then the two ladies head to Lily’s for the night.
We’ll need Kat to find another circle outside of this group, because this is becoming a lot now.

He tells Ashley that they may have to look into going back to court and she tells him to slow down, which is totally unlike her. Pregnancy has Ash mellowing out, which is a great thing. Later on, ol’ girl comes to her senses and brings the baby over. Another great thing. Followed by some awful news…
Moments after his daughter arrives at the house, Don receives a phone call stating that his little sister (who he’s discussed as having battled depression earlier this season) was found in the Chicago River, dead of an apparent suicide. He breaks down and the cameras are right there, which feels… Just wrong.
Link up next week and we’ll talk about 9 Mag’s second trip to a lake house this year, with Rachel in tow. Lawd.
