Azealia Banks was once a promising new rapper who scored a hit with “212” and who many thought was off to an epic career. However, lately she gets more attention for her antics in the real world and on social media, and most recently she dropped some thirst traps.

Azealia Banks says she is quitting rap music. The “212” rapper made the announcement on Friday (June 21) via Instagram, so of course, the messages have already been deleted.

Azealia Banks has all the rapping talent in the free world and it can’t be denied. However, she’ll go down in infamy as an artist who can’t seem to get out of her own way as evidenced by a weird online beef with Vince Staples that went nowhere fast.

Azealia Banks once again is turning heads, not for her formidable musical ability but for reasons outside her profession. The talented, if struggle-adjacent, rapper was served with papers regarding a six-figure lawsuit over credit card debt.
