This past Saturday reports had surfaced that DMX had suffered a heart attack after overdosing on drugs and was rumored to be brain dead as a result.

A former manager of the rapper born Earl Simmons told two major publications that DMX is in a "vegetative state."

Prayers are needed for DMX. The Yonkers rapper reportedly overdosed on Friday night (April 2) and is currently hospitalized in serious condition.

The man he was referring to was named "Ready Ron" and though X looked up to him like an "older brother," Ron turned out to be the figure that ultimately put X on a path of self-destruction.

In the first episode, viewers were taken back on Wednesday night (Aug.12) to the time before the Ruff Ryders became the force in the Hip-Hop game we know them as now. We are introduced to South Bronx natives Joaquin "Waah" Dean and Darin "Dee" Dean and Chivon Dean. The episode details their young upbringing as the children of a devout Muslim father and mother.

For those that didn’t know, JAY-Z and DMX didn’t really see eye to with one another despite always putting out great records together, but that didn’t stop Jigga from a tremendous solid for Dark Man X.

The highly anticipated battle between DMX and Snoop Dogg went down and they definitely went hard for the culture. On Wednesday (Jul 22), the battle of the dogs took place, with the high energy event opened with DMX kicking off the ceremony with a heartfelt prayer. Starting the event with the classic records that changed that game, Snoop dropped the breakout track that put him on everyone's radar, “Deep Cover”. Not one to start slow, DMX countered with his energetic and gritty intro to his classic album, It's Dark and Hell Is Hot.

The new Verzuz Battle has been announced and fans are already declaring a wipeout. On Tuesday (Jul 14), Swizz Beatz and Timbaland announced that West Coast Icon Snoop Dogg would be facing off against Ruff Ryder Legend DMX in a "battle of the dogs" for the next matchup.

G-Unit's goon, Tony Yayo wasn't feeling DMX's jab at his lyrical skills and went extremely low when clapping back.

With the overwhelming response to the epic #Verzuz Battles, it’s no surprise that legendary MCs are lining up for their shot to go head to head, but according to N.O.R.E., both DMX and Eminem have confirmed that they got next.

DMX needs to get his finances in order. Reportedly, Dark Man X owes the state of New York almost $225,000 in back taxes.
