One woman is dead and a man is currently fighting for his life after they both were shot in the head at a San Diego Macy’s parking lot in the early morning, today Christmas Eve.
Macy’s hasn’t won the public relations battle with people of color this year after a series of racial profiling scandals. Now, the retail giant’s flagship store in New York has another negative mark on its racial harmony record after it was discovered they keep a Black Santa Claus essentially hidden away from the public.
The racial profiling accusations Macy’s has been facing of late has blanketed the major department store chain in scandal. Now, a former NYPD police officer claims in a lawsuit that she too was profiled because of her race and lost her job as a result.
Actor Rob Brown was not posturing when he said he was going to take Macy’s to task for allegedly racially profiling him. The Treme and Finding Forrester actor has filed a class action lawsuit against the department store.
New York suddenly has a list of “Shopping While Black” scandals unfolding. After high-end department Barneys was accused of racial profiling by a pair of young people, a rising Hollywood actor had a similar situation happen to him over the summer at Macy’s.

Lil Wayne’s Trukfit clothing line is coming to a Macy’s store near you. The department store will make Weezy’s skater-inspired clothing line available as of next month, and to celebrate the momentous occasion, the Young Money star will make a spot appearance at a Macy’s retail location.
