The annual Hot 97 Summer Jam line up was announced today (April 2) and mainstream Hip-Hop fans surely won’t be disappointed. Among the headliners are Nas, 50 Cent, Nicki Minaj and Wiz Khalifa.
Papoose is an interesting fellow to say the least. In 2005 The Brooklyn native was touted to be one of New York’s next crown holders. But since an alleged million plus dollar deal with Jive Records, Pap’s career has taken a turn for the worst, landing himself in the struggle rapper category.
Summer Jam isn’t necessarily the best venue to break a new record, but 2 Chainz was daring enough to do so. The Hair Weave Killer debuted a Pharrell-produced jam called “Feds Watching.”
2 Chainz will deliver his second solo album September 10. At the moment, not much is known about the project (this includes the title), but the Def Jam rapper did debut his first single at Hot 97’s Summer Jam concert last night.
