Rick Ross Not Allowed To Perform In Bermuda
Bermuda officials canned Rick Ross's plans to perform in Bermuda over the weekend. Immigration Minister David Burch refused to give him a work permit to perform at Saturday's “Cup Match Extravaganza” saying” he did not possess good character and conduct.” The promoter for the concert, Kendrick Zuill, spoke out about his failed attempts to get the minster to change his mind.
“I've been trying to convince them that he is a man of good conduct. I was providing them with information, but all they told me was that the Minister was not satisfied. It's something personal.”
More than 500 people had to receive refunds for the concert. Ross has yet to comment.
Ross is not the first entertainer turned away because of their “character.” Ja Rule was recently denied entry into Australia for his criminal background. He was scheduled to perform July 31 in Sydney but had to cancel because the country's Immigration Department denied him access to the country. Snoop Dogg was also denied a request for a VISA from Australia in 2007. His run-ins with the law including cocaine and gun possession charges caused him to fail the country's “character test”.
