College Student Kills Intruder With Samurai Sword
A Johns Hopkins University student armed with a samurai sword killed an intruder in his garage.
Baltimore police spokesman, Anthony Guglielmi said campus security and an off duty officer responded to a 911 call about a suspicious person and sounds of screams around 1:20 a.m. on Tuesday.
Police say the student, whose house had been robbed of a laptop and playstation just one day earlier, told the intruder to leave and was attacked by the man.
Guglielmi said that the student then defended himself with a samurai sword, cutting his hand and deeply lacerating his upper body.
The man died at the scene before police arrived.
Police have launched an investigation into the robbery and are interviewing the student and his roommates to determine whether or not to file charges.
