Death Row Inmate Given Final Rejection By Supreme Court

Monday, November 30th, 2009

Kevin Copper is one step closer to the reaper after the Supreme Court rejected his attempt to get another trial and win his freedom.

The death row inmate was convicted in 1983 of barbarically murdering Douglas and Peggy Ryen (both 41) Jessica Ryen (10), and her compatriot Cristopher Hughes, all of whom met their end via a buck knife or hatchet, leaving then 8-year-old Joshua Ryen as the sole survivor of the solitary survivor after making it through a slit throat.

Cooper, whom has long attested to his innocence in the murders while claiming that a three killers actually perpetrated the heinous crime, was due to be executed in 2004 but was saved by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which demanded that genetic testing be done on various pieces of evidence found at the crime scene in the effort to either prove of disprove him.

That same court later sided with findings rendered by a district judge, claiming that results of the genetic test did not conclusively prove Coopers innocence.

No official date has been set for his execution.

Public Tirade Could Land Al Sharpton's Daughter & Ex-Wife In Jail

Monday, November 30th, 2009

“This is Fawking bullShyte” is hardly the way any person would think the daughter of a preacher would respond to a member of law enforcement but that is exactly what the progeny of one famous Bible-totting activist said to her arresting officer.

Dominique Sharpton and her mother, Kathy Jordan, appeared in court after launching into a public tirade against NYPD and resisting arrest.

Dominique was arrested after crossing a double line and cutting off a police officer while driving for resisting arrest and various other charges.

Her mother, 53 year-old Jordan, is facing the same charges after procuring handcuffs from a nearby law enforcement official and “twisting her body away from police officers.”

A lawyer for both women attempted to have the case thrown out of court citing their First Amendment right to free speech. That motion was quickly and vehemently denied.

A police report for the incident says that Sharpton “flailed” her arms to resist being arrested, after which she “pushed her feet against a police vehicle to resist being placed inside said vehicle.”

Prosecutors in the trial have offered no deal.

Both women are facing a maximum sentence of one year in jail.

In true Al Sharpton fashion, the glorified noisemaker is calling the treatment of his former wife and daughter “unfair.”

Unfair??? Give me a break. . .

What do you think Hip-Hop Wired???

Were these women treated unfairly by the NYPD?

Internet Thugs Force Law Enforcement Into Cyber Space

Monday, November 30th, 2009

If you are a hip, savvy, New York “gangsta,” you are warned, the NYPD is watching you.

As current gang trends make their way to the World Wide Web, law enforcement is moving right along with them, with visible proof seen in the latest move by the infamous men and women of New York's police departments.

A practice innovated by the beleaguered law enforcement  has members of the NYPD combing social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter in an effort to quell future gang activity.

Officials within the city are seeing a rise in technology based plots that are being dolled out in new age “tech talk” at a limit of 140 characters or less.

Members of the NYPD are already monitoring a brewing war between Jeff Mob and a rival group, all starting with one tweet from an innocent young lady.

"I knoe bit**es from oyg that would dead mob yah s--t in harlem," one girl wrote in a series of tweets aimed at drawing out a rival for a fight.

There are currently no statistics to show how successful the tactic has been so far.

Angry Worker Spikes Water Cooler With Nuclear Radiation

Monday, November 30th, 2009

An ongoing investigation into whether an Indian power plant operator spiked an office water cooler with a radioactive substance has gotten many of the budding nation's work institutions searching inward to prevent similar incidents from occurring.

55 employees at Kaiga Nuclear Power Plant underwent emergency treatment after it was revealed that they drank water laced with tritium, a highly radioactive isotope, with the cancer inducing substance being revealed only after post-shift drug detecting urine tests.

The move raises concerns about India's ability to safe guard its recently obtained nuclear facilities from anyone that would steal materials or information from them; people such as terrorists.

Currently, 15 employees have been narrowed down in the search for whoever committed the salacious act.

Rangel Facing “Serious” Opposition From Familiar Foe

Monday, November 30th, 2009

“In order to be the man, you have to beat the man” are more than famous words, coined by none other than legendary grappler Ric Flair. The words are indicative of the mantra that a community banker has used to  initiate change in one of America's most celebrated communities by ushering in a new era of New York politics.

For years, Charles “Charlie” Rangel has occupied the highest echelon of New York politics, ascending to his current position as the head of Congress' Ways and Means Committee but all of that might change if political newcomer Vince Morgan has his way.

Once serving as Rangel's campaign manager, the upstart political hopeful stepped into a David-esque position when he announced that he would challenge his former boss in the “dean of Harlem politics” for a seat that the senior legislator has held for four decades.

"I think the community is ready to look beyond the current congressperson, Charles Rangel, to the future .  The question has always been what happens after Charles Rangel?,” said Morgan in his candidacy announcement. It's about time some new folk come into the mix to be a part of the leadership in upper Manhattan."

Now might be the best time for Morgan to forge his own political path by pulling off what would be an enormous victory over his seasoned opponent in Rangel, who is currently fighting a seemingly more pressing battle with an ongoing ethics investigation that will reveal whether the elder statesman neglected to adequately report his income taxes.

Officials from Rangel's campaign camp have called Morgan's opposition a “serious” threat.

I say, no one can be on top forever, and change is bound to come. Whether one wants it or not. A changing of New York's political guard should be good, and from what I see and hear, is long deserved.

Good bye Mr. Rangel. . .
