DJ AM's Mother To Continue Lawsuit Against Airplane Company
The late Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein's mother is continuing a lawsuit previously filed by her son against Learjet. She has also stated that Learjet's plane crash in September of 2008 is one of the main reasons of her son's death earlier this year.
The lawsuit which was initially filed last year by DJ AM has been continued by his mother who is suing Learjet airlines for close to $20 million dollars. The statement has been released:
“Andrea Gross has amended his $20 million lawsuit against the plane manufacturer, the pilots' estates and others by adding a wrongful death claim, Los Angeles court papers show."
The crash ultimately caused Adam Goldstein's death at a later date," the papers state. Friends and associates of the musician have widely blamed his trauma from the September 2008 plane crash as leading to his fatal relapse in August.
If you are unaware of the crash, in September of 2008, the fatal accident left four dead and DJ AM and long time friend drummer Travis Barker in critical condition. They were both taken to a burn center immediately in Augusta, GA and were treated for burns and trauma.
DJ AM's mother is claiming that the fatal crash did emotional and mental damage to her son, leading him to cope with his problems with drugs which led to his death back in August.
