Ohio Serial Killer Pleads Insanity To Charges
The man accused of killing 11 Ohio women and leaving their remains around his house has entered a not guilty plea by reason of insanity to all charges. As previously reported, 50-year-old Anthony Sowell was arrested by police in connection with a rape. When police entered his home they discovered the bodies and remains of his victims.
Sowell was indicted Tuesday on charges that include murder, rape, assault, and corpse abuse. He is accused of murdering the 11 women and attacking three women who survived. If convicted of any of the killings, he could get the death penalty.
A prosecutor in the case asked for $14 million in bond, essentially $1 million for each victim but the judge denied it. Sowell is in jail without bond and in an isolation cell at a county jail.
Insanity is an understatement….
