Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center Opens
Boxing legend and sports hero Muhammad Ali has been commemorated in Phoenix, Arizona with one of the most extensive Parkinson's disease treatment centers in the country.
The Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix is a 10,000 square foot facility and expects to treat 1,500 new patients.
Originally opened in 1997, the center has been revamped and doubled in size to accommodate 10 exam rooms, a tremor exam room, a Botulinum toxin treatment room, a tilt room to help evaluate patients with orthostatic hypertension and a balance lab.
Ali attended the grand opening of the $4 million facility Thursday and toured the building lavished in his pictures with his wife Lonnie.
