Update: Lawyer For Nas Speaks On DUI

Nas a.k.a. Young Escobar had the media up in arms after video footage from what appeared to be a DUI charge hit the net. As previously reported, a video from a dashboard camera showed Nas going through substantial testing for drugs and alcohol in Henry County, Georgia.

Recorded in September, the video seemed to serve as confirmation that the MC was indeed arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

Now his lawyer is speaking out in his defense and refutes claims that he was charged with any wrongdoing. John C. Mayou has released a statement for his client saying,

“Nas has not been charged with any offense whatsoever, including DUI.The state's own lab results were negative for any drugs, including marijuana.”

Despite Mayou's statement, Nasir was clearly arrested. Henry County police report that after pulling him over he showed clear signs of intoxication including,

“….a green tongue with raised taste buds and his pulse was raised to 116 beats per minutes, eyelid tremors in both eyes and body tremors.”

Who knows? Maybe the charges got dropped.  Although I don't see

how that's possible with raised taste buds and body tremors…
