"One Tree Hill" Star Sentenced To Prison For Fraud
Actor Antwon Tanner has been sentenced to prison after attempting to sell illegal social security numbers to undercover police.
As previously reported, Tanner pleaded guilty to federal charges in August after police caught the 34-year-old trying to sell fake identification cards and Social Security numbers to undercover immigration and Custom enforcement agents.
After being caught he admitted to being part of the crime scheme but maintains that he was only a “middle man” and sold the numbers on behalf of an unidentified third party.
He has been sentenced to three months in prison followed by another five months in home confinement. The maximum sentence for the crime is ten years.
Tanner played the role of “Skills” on One Tree Hill and made several appearances on Moesha and in the movie “The Wood.”
