Duke Lacrosse Accuser Arrested For Arson And Attempted Murder
The woman remembered for accusing members of Duke University’s lacrosse team of rape in 2006 has been arrested for arson and attempting to kill her boyfriend.
Crystal Gail Mangum was arrested in North Carolina Wednesday after police say they found her and her boyfriend Milton Walker fighting.
Police report that she set clothes on fire in a bathtub and scratched, punched and threw objects at her boyfriend saying,
“I’m going to stab you!”
When police questioned her she gave them a fake first name, calling herself Marella.
In addition to the arson and attempted murder charge, she’s charged with assault and battery, identity theft, communicating threats, damage to property, resisting an officer and child endangerment.
Three children were in the house at the time of the incident.
