Blacks Told To Leave New Jersey Wal-Mart
Customers in a New Jersey Wal-Mart store are expressing disappointment after an unknown male used the public address system to order "all black people" to leave.
On Sunday (March 14) shoppers heard a voice come over the public-address system that evening and calmly announced:
"Attention Wal-Mart customers: All Black people leave the store now."
Management apologized. Officials with Wal-Mart Stores Inc. say that it was "unacceptable" and that they're trying to determine who made the announcement and how it happened.
But a former employee states that the location of the PA phone leaves the door open for anyone to access.
“It just sits in the middle of the aisle”, Phil Mitchell states, “On the phone it has instructions, so anyone could have picked up the phone and made the announcement.”
Police are currently looking into the case and Wal-Mart has not released whether the male was truly a patron or an employee.
