A  Minnesota male nurse was detained by police after they say he helped up to five people end their lives by encouraging them to commit suicide and giving them tips on the internet.

William Melchert-Dinkel is charged with 2 counts of assisted suicide and accused of helping 18-year-old Nadia Kajouji of Canada and 32-year-old Mark Drybrough of Britain to kill themselves.

Police say that husband and father of two would meet the people online in suicide chat rooms posing as a female nurse under the alias cami, Li Dao or falcon_girl.

He would reportedly use his medical background to tell the online web surfers about doses of medications they could take to kill themselves and offered them tips on tying ropes.

He was caught after emails from him were found on the computer of Mark Drybrough who hung himself in his apartment, one of which reportedly read,

“You can easily hang from a door …”

Police say Nadia Kajouji  jumped off a bridge to her death after his coaxing

Dinkel told authorities that he thinks he helped at least five people kill themselves and did it for “the thrill of the chase.”

During his tenure as nurse he was cited several times for neglect and being rough with patients.
