T-Pain Is Going On Strike!!!

With record sales dwindling for artists and the Internet delivering albums to fans for free, T-Pain had decided to put his foot down and discontinue to release of music until there is a change.

Stating that his latest album Revolver is done and ready, the "singer" stated that he's not letting any new material out until sales start picking up again.

Things did kind of cold after he released "Take Your Shirt Off", so THIS must be the reason why....

During an interview with MTV, Pain spoke on his issues with letting out his new record.

"I got the mastered version of my [RevolveR] album in my car right now. But I'm not bringing my album out until these artists start selling records again, 'cause ain't nobody selling records unless you Susan Boyle."

He added that there should nothing new expected from him until he feels it can be more beneficial to him.

"I'm not doing nothing. I'm not bringing out no album, not dropping no more new singles until people start selling records again, and that's the approach I think everybody should take unless you Susan Boyle or Miley Cyrus."

Is Pain really making the right decision to hold off until sales pick up or will fans just allow him to fade out if he wants to stay silent?

    When I had read that headline, I have to admit it, I had bust out laughing. Who does this n*gga think he is? Jay-Z? Timbaland? Eminem? Hell, could he believe that he is Miley Cyrus?
    Someone in T-Pain's entourage needs to tell that motherfather that he is not that important. In my opinion, the last great hit that he had put out was "Buy You A Drink"...
    This supposed strike is not going to last long, once his m*****as at his record label tells him to stop with the bullsh*t.

    I totally agree with the person above....I almost choked laughing. He is so far from relevant....he needs to stick to being featured on other artist tracks. Don't even waste time making a album, let alone releasing it.

    Just make a mixtape and put it out online.

    You won't see change until the old guard wants it to change. Still crappy dumb downed music is still being put out. Artists getting ripped off and the old folks just don't get how viable the internet is. These are hard times, artists and record companies need to give away free ish and have free shows. And T-Pain, you were popping in the beginning but you used that vocoder a little bit too much. It started a rave of the non-talented to do the same. And some are still using it. You and other artists have to find another way to capture the short attention span of your listeners.

    just another reason why the industry is fu@ked up. Artist feel that they are entitled to something. T-Pain, you keep on waiting and that 15 minutes of fame will be over if it isn't already. Good music sells periods so stop blaming it on everyone else.

    I agree wit yunginprice good music ain't really selling either (Lupe & Kudi r the ish btw) but I bet good music got a much more loyal fan base. Folks say it all the time but real recognize real an fakers r gon get exposed or expose themselves. A real artist does it 4 the love of the craft, if u really loved what little fans you got t-pain u wouldn't be worried bout sells much less OTHER artists sells did anybody else peep how he was emphasizing OTHER ARTISTS SELLS.. And he wanna act like he invented autotune and get made cuz he open the flood gates for all the tone deaf rappers to make hooks. It's good he got the master in his car cuz that's exactly where it needs to stay LOL
