T.I. is announcing plans to push back his first album since his release  from prison King Uncaged.

The Grand Hustle head made the announcement in an interview with Rap-Up, telling them that he wants to focus on the release of his new film “Takers.”

“I pushed the album back, so I could completely focus my attention to the roll out and release of this film, Takers. Which will be coming out August 27. And I felt like it wouldn’t be fair to the film or the album if I was splitting my attention span amongst the two. And once we debut number one I will completely re-submerge myself back into the music.”

According to Tip he has over 100 songs recorded but has to cut them down to 14 tracks for the finished project.

King Uncaged was scheduled to hit stores September 28.

No word on the new release date.
