Lupe Fiasco Covers XXL's May Issue
Lupe Fiasco Covers XXL
Fresh off the release of his third album, Lasers, and the highest selling first-week of his career, Lupe Fiasco lands on the cover of XXL's newest issue.
In the cover story conducted by XXL writer Thomas Golianopoulos, the Chicago MC talks about his struggles with Atlantic Records, and the underwhelming feeling that surfaced after landing at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200.
Fiaco said to the magazine,
“I wasn't completely overwhelmed, because now I have to go into the business meetings.
Now I'm waiting for, ‘If you didn't say you hated the album in that interview, we would have done 300,000.'”
Lupe's Atlantic Records labelmate Wiz Khalifa and G.O.O.D. Music artist Big Sean are also featured in the issue, as well as a tribute to West Coast legend, Nate Dogg, who passed away from heart failure in March.
XXL's May issue hits newsstands on April 26th.
