Montell Williams Marijuana Case Dismissed

Drug paraphernalia possession charges against former talk show host Montell Williams have been dismissed by a Milwaukee County judge.

Back in January, Williams was detained in a Milwaukee airport after what was believed to be a pipe used for smoking marijuana was found in his luggage.

The 54-year-old former host of “The Montell Williams Show” claimed to use medical marijuana legally to pain caused by multiple sclerosis.

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, at the request of the district attorney, the Williams case was dismissed on Tuesday, after the pipe tested negative for marijuana.

Williams, who lives in New York, but undergoes treatment at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, said he forgot the pipe was in his luggage. He has since issued an apologize for the incident, and said he’s glad to put this entire matter behind him.

“This isn’t about somebody trying to do something illicit. I’m really just trying to take my medication. Hopefully this issue and this incident will spark some conversations that will help more rational minds find a way to solve the problem and take the patients off the battlefield.”

If case you’re wondering, the pipe was not returned to Williams, but more than likely between the airport security, authorities and court system, someone will put that pipe to good use.
