Strippers Dance At Funerals In Asian Film
Marc Moskowitz's new documentary film Dancing for the Dead: Funeral Strippers in Taiwan is giving a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘happy ending.'
The 40-minute documentary chronicles the lives of a group of exotic dancers who perform at funerals in Taiwan, usually on the back of trucks called Electric Flower Cars, bouncing that money maker for the dead and their mourners. '
The new documentary is shaking up views of the funeral business in Taiwan.
Through interviews with the strippers, government officials and academics, Moskowitz details this controversial practice that is viewed as scandalous by some but seen as a proper coping mechanism for grieving by those who agree with it.
