50 Cent's Distribution Deal For Street King Is Not With Pepsi
50 Cent's Distribution Deal For Street King Is Not With Pepsi
One of 50 Cent's tweets needed more context. The G-Unit leader made headlines on January 2 when he tweeted that he scored a distribution deal with PepsiCo for his Street King energy shots. However, a media representative from Pepsi told Hip-Hop Wired that 50 Cent's deal is actually with the Honickman Group, one of the beverage company's independent bottlers.
Along with soft drinks that include Canada Dry, Honickman also distributes beer throughout the northeastern region of the United States.
Bevnet has also confirmed the distribution deal with Honickman via Chris Clarke, a co-founder of Pure Growth Partners, Street King's parent company. Besides already being stocked in GNC and 7-Eleven, the energy shot billed as "1 Shot = 1 Meal for a Child" is on course to be added to two nationwide drug chains by February. Part of the proceeds from each sale of a Street King energy shot is donated to the United Nations World Food Program.
