LL Cool J Named First Grammy Awards Host In 7 Years
Add Grammy Awards host to LL Cool J's lengthy list of career accomplishments. The Queens rapper/actor will be the first official host in seven years at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards.
"I'm thrilled to be part of Music's Biggest Night," said Uncle L in a statement. "I will always have fond memories of my first GRAMMY Awards and to now be hosting the GRAMMY show, in the company of so many other incredible artists, is a dream come true. Great performances and great music—it's gonna be a great night!"
LL Cool J has two Grammy Awards of his own, winning for Best Rap Performance in 1992 (“Mama Said Knock You Out”) and 1997 (“Hey Lover”). Another Queens rapper, Nicki Minaj, will be making her debut Grammy performance in LA's Staples Center this year.
The 54th Annual Grammy Awards air live on Sunday, February 12 at 8pm EST on CBS.
