Yesterday, Nas dropped his highly anticipated new album, Life Is Good, and the rapper was keeping busy schedule promoting the project. Before heading downtown to perform at Tammany Hall, the Queens rapper went to Harlem to stop by Rucker Park. Nas told the crowd that the day was special because it marked the tenth anniversary of shooting his video for “Made You Look” in the legendary park and home of the Entertainer’s Basketball Classic.

With the mic in his hand Nas talked about spotting Mike Tyson at the Rucker when he was kid and making sure he came through for “the people” not the entertainment industry and “all that fake stuff.”

“My whole philosophy of life is, ‘Life is good,’ because that’s where I come from,” said Nas. “I come from a hard town, I come from a hard life like all of us do, but we ain’t going to let that get the best of us. We going to keep our heads up to the highest, we going to stay the flyest. The whole world going to  2012, life is good, I love you, this is my time.”
