Dwyane Wade will no longer be seen rocking and representing Jordan Brand shoes and apparel. The Miami Heat’s star shooting guard has parted ways with the sneaker brand after his contract was up in September, reports the NBA. However, D-Wade reportedly already has a new deal with Chinese sneaker and apparel outfit Li-Ning and teased fans with a preview of his new signature shoe via Twitter/Instagram.

Wade had been part of the Jordan Brand fold since 2009, after coming over from the Nike owned Converse. At first Wade was the face of the Air Jordan collection before being granted his own signature sneaker.

However, Wade isn’t making public any possible hard feelings he may have toward Michael Jordan’s brand. Said an NBA.com report:

Wade, who counts Michael Jordan as his idol to this day, said Tuesday that he still feels “honored to have represented my favorite player of all time and his brand.”

Jordan Brand issued their own statement that was also short and to the point.

The Jordan Brand and Dwyane Wade have mutually agreed to end our relationship. We wish Dwyane well as he continues his career.

At 4:34pm today, Wade shared an Instagram photo of the top of a sneaker along with the caption #10/10. An allusion to his 10th NBA season or an October 10th release, maybe? Check out the photo after the break.
