Gilberto Valle, the NYPD  officer arrested over plans to kidnap, cook, and eat his girlfriend plus up to 100 women, entered a not guilty plea at his arraignment Monday (Nov. 19).

Despite being denied twice, Valle’s attorney, Julia Gatto, will argue sometime today, that her client should receive bail.

Judge Paul Gardephe is not expected to grant bail, calling Gatto’s fight a “hard row to hoe.”

Valle faces conspiracy to commit kidnapping and obtaining information from a criminal database without authorization charges. He was arrested by the FBI, on Oct. 24, and had dreams of becoming a “professional kidnapper.”

Federal agents searched computer records, and uncovered Valle’s detailed plan to delve into cannibalism “I love that she is asleep right now not having the slightest clue of what we have planned,” he told one of his co-conspirators, both of whom have been unidentified. He also expressed pondered the size of his oven, which he believed was large enough to fit at least one victim, if he folded her legs.

The FBI was alerted to Valle’s intentions following a tip from his ex-wife, who found “questionable” adult films on his computer.

A six-year veteran of the NYPD, Valle was assigned to Harlem’s 26th Precinct.
