Four years after Kick A** & Hit-Girl captured your imagination with a brand new style of superhero movie, the band gets back together for the sequel, Kick A** 2.
Kick-A** 2 stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the movie’s namesake, Chloë Grace Moretz is all grown up, reprising her role as Hit-Girl, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (aka McLovin) drops his Red Mist persona and becomes “The Mother F—er.” Seriously.
The movie takes place not to long after the events of the original movie, as the world becomes inspired by the actions of Kick A**, Hit-Girl and the now-deceased Big Daddy. Included in the new batch of superheroes is Colonel Stars and Stripes, played by the man of one thousand faces himself, Jim Carrey.
“The character has completely progressed,” Moretz told MTV News in a recent interview. “She’s now 15 or 16, figuring out who she is. Is Hit-Girl the mask? Is Mindy McCready the mask? That’s the cool tug of war between the two minds.”
