Lip Lock will be in stores in less than two weeks, and that means Eve has a lot of promoting to do. This led the Ruff Ryder’s former first lady to the Late Night With Jimmy Fallon stage, where she performed “Make It Out This Town” with Gabe Saporta.
Backed by house band, The Roots, E-V-E and Cobra Starships’s bassist and lead vocalist gave a live rendition of the crossover cut. No shade to the performance, but the Philly native’s yellow dress may have been the highlight of the show.
As a treat to fans, Eve returned to perform her classic Dr. Dre-produced song “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” sans Gwen Stefani. The No Doubt singer’s absence didn’t stop the crowd from emphatically singing the track’s chorus.
Lip Lock is due in stores May 14, and will don appearances from Snoop Dogg, Missy Elliott, Pusha T, Gabe Saporta, Juicy J, Chrisette Michele, and Dawn Richard. Pre-order the LP on iTunes, and see Eve perform “Make It Out This Town” and “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” below.
