Ab-Soul, who’s had an increase in feature appearances lately, looks to be next in a TDE cycle that’s already delivered albums/EPs from Isaiah Rashad, ScHoolboy Q, and SZA. Yesterday, the Black Lipped Pastor returned on his solo tip with “Tree Of Life.”

Producer Curtiss King blessed the Soul-O with a boom-bap beat that fits the rapper’s style, though he’s never created a full song on production like this. Of course, the West Coast wordsmith came guns blazing in lyrical form.

Ab-Soul reportedly has two albums already completed, and is waiting for his label to pull the trigger. Hopefully, some official news on either project will surface sooner than later. Until then, stream “Tree Of Life.”
