Veteran journalist Elliott Wilson made due of his time at SXSW by bringing his Myspace CRWN interview series with him. This time he invited Lil Wayne to sit on the hot seat to answer questions in front of a live crowd.
Like most times in the hot seat, Weezy was especially candid as he discussed a range of topics ranging from his early Cash Money days to how he hopes fans appreciate him when it’s all said and done. As of now, the general consensus of the forthcoming Carter V appears to be largely negative but even a well-versed artist such as Wayne knows that the right hit will make the people’s opinions flip-flop just as they do during an election year.
It’s a little surreal to see the rapper in this head space as he prepares his closing opus Tha Carter V.
The 30-minute interview proved to be very informative as Elliott Wilson threw out knuckleballs with comedic flair and Wayne had no problem acting coy.
