Pras Michel, former members of rap trio The Fugees, has been dogged by claims of being a deadbeat dad by the mother of his son. Pras’ ex claims the rapper makes $1.7 million per year but isn’t giving up extra loot in support of their 4-year-old.
Page Six was all over the story, capturing comments from Michel’s ex in where she slammed him for not supporting their child to the level he could. Angela Severiano, 38, essentially wants a raise in payments after claiming Michel earns far more than he’s disclosed in the past.
Page Six reports:
“I’m angry at Mr. Michel for not providing for his son,” Angela Severiano, 38, told a Manhattan Family Court judge Thursday in asking for a raise in child support from $3,000 to $7,000 a month.
Michel, a court no-show for the second time in six months, claimed he earns $300,000 a year but didn’t provide documentation.
So Severiano testified that her ex listed his income as $1.7 million on documents for a sublet at 60 Greene St.
Michel’s lawyer claimed that his client didn’t show up to court because he was too sick. But the real meat of the story is the income reports. Pras is getting bread like that? Royalties from The Score still rolling in?
