Mo’Nique may have an Academy Award on her mantle but she is still that potty-mouthed woman from the Def Comedy Jam days.

She proved this at her recent show at the Apollo Theater. For years, Monique has talked about being blackballed from Hollywood for being too “real.”

She even claimed that she was supposed to have the role of “Cookie” on Fox’s EMPIRE. Her suspicions were confirmed when director Lee Daniels suggested that Mo’Nique’s career slowed down after winning an Oscar for her role in Precious because she didn’t know how to “play the game.”

For the most part, Mo’Nique has been respectful in interviews when the topic comes up. But now, she’s taking the gloves off. Obviously comfortable in her original habitat, the stage, Mo’Nique dropped all kinds of bombs on some of the biggest Black names in Hollywood who she feels played a role in her not getting any more major film looks.

During her set, she said:

“No, I was not blackballed. I was whiteballed by some black d***s who had no balls. Thank you, Mr. Lee Daniels. Thank you, Mr. Tyler Perry. Thank you, Ms. Oprah Winfrey. No, baby, I wasn’t blackballed. I was f****d up by some n****rs who had no balls. And see, I know they like to say, ‘Mo’Nique, you talk too motherf*****g much.’ It would kill me not to say the real s***…You are not treating me fairly, so y’all can suck my d*** if I had one.”

Glad that she was able to get that off of her chest. Will this rant get her some more work though?
