Revered California lyricist Ras Kass recently premiered the first episode of his short online-documentary series entitled “The Biography of John Austin.”   The new series promises to take Hip-Hop fans on his daily ventures to fortify his career as a prominent artist.

Episode one premiered Sept 1, and gives a look into Ras Kass’ thoughts on the current commercial Hip-Hop scene and talks about his latest tribulations of his recent prison release. Other episodes are being filmed and release dates will be announced.

When asked about his latest project, Ras Kass responded,

“I always like going in a new direction. People will get to see different facets of my life, and inspire them to grow with me.”

Focused now more than ever, Ras Kass is in a world wind mission to double his musical efforts for a global audience.

“Ras Kass is embarking in new aspects of his life,” said Manager Donnie Bo Official of Avatar management. “He is focusing on developing new level of creativity and connecting with his fans on a more personal level.”

The Carson, CA native is releasing a new single every Monday under the moniker, “The Quarterly.”   The singles and documentaries are released on his website, www.raskass-central.com and www.youtube.com/raskasscentral.

“I’m a connoisseur of music,” stated Ras Kass. “‘I’m more than a rapper, I’m an artist.”

He recently shot a street music video for his single “The Reconciliation,” which has re-acquainted his hardcore fans with one of the leading Hip-Hop artist of the west coast underground.

He released his first album in 1996 called, “Soul on Ice,” titled after a book written by Eldridge Cleaver, in which he speaks on African-American social issues.  The album is considered a classic by many Hip-Hop purists and features the highly acclaimed “Nature Of The Threat.”
