Rickie Durham is surely regretting the day he merged money with the badge as he is facing sentencing for “playing” on both sides of the law.

Durham was found guilty of helping Alton Coles, Philadelphia’s premier drug kingpin, evade law enforcement authorities by tipping a friend of an impending raid. The tip was given with knowledge that it would be passed to Coles.

Officially, the 44-year-old was convicted of obstruction of justice and one count of giving false statements to law officers.

Former officer Durham was a veteran on the force with 12-years on the job before he was suspended in the beginning of this year. An internal investigation revealed his relationship with Coles.

Coles, served as the CEO of Take Down Records, a Philly based label that he also rapped under using the moniker “Ace Capone.” The former Boss was sentenced to life in prison under Pennsylvania’s “Kingpin” law, with an additional 55 years “after” the initial sentence, for running a $25 million dollar narcotics empire.
