Rising Atlanta talent ForteBowie returns with a new track called “Gang Affiliated,” featuring Katie Got Bandz.
Before you go assuming, this record is far from a street anthem. Rather, the ATLien’s partner in crime — his leading lady — inspires him to flex his crooning ability on a sensual cut with a gritty edge.
We’re sure the song’s hypnotic melody and tingling hi-hats, also drill hop staples, made Chicago’s own Katie feel right at home. The hard rhymes detailing her loyalty for her beau create a bit of role reversal with her singing counterpart.
The tune feels almost ambient at times due to subtle nuances like ForteBowie’s background vocals.
