One of these days, the Grammy Awards will make a bigger fuss about their music video category than the red carpet spectacle. Both rap videos represented in this year’s nominees, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Can’t Hold Us,” and Jay Z’s “Picasso Baby” were also honored in Wired 25: The 25 Best Videos Of 2013 but there are much bigger elephants in the room this time around.
Until that day comes, The Wrap-Up will report the real from the reel.
This week’s edition doesn’t mirror the glitz and glamour of the Grammys but there are still plenty of noteworthy editions to YouTube worth the reverence. That includes an actual depiction of the struggle of fatherhood, interacting with backstabbers and revisiting the worst fear imaginable.
