Friday is here people. But before you engage in your week end tomfoolery, lend your ears to the best songs via The Wrap Up: Hip-Hop Wired’s Top 10 Songs Of The Week.
As always, you’ll find a compilation of songs worthy of a few plays from some popular rappers, as well as some worthy newcomers. This list features a few trunk rattling records from some of the biggest names from the south. Needless to say that these cuts cuts could usher in the spring properly.

10. Nipsey Hussle ft. Vernardo – “Be Here For A While”
Neighborhood Nip delivered one more release to support his Crenshaw Tour. Like the others, this track is solid.
9. Black Milk – “Cold Day”
We’d still like to know what’s in Detroit’s water. Does anyone know? We need answer.
8. Rick Ross ft. Jeezy – “War Ready”
We won’t say that this song matched all the hoopla surrounding it, but it’s definitely worth a spin or two.
7. Tree – “More Than You Know”
The Chicago rapper’s appeal is growing with each new release. See why above.
6. Alex Wiley & Mick Jenkins – “Forever”
Here’s another batch of impressive up and coming MCs from Chicago. There’s a storm brewing in that city.
5. Skeme – “6 AM In Miami”
Skeme Duke has a few leftover tracks from Ingleworld. Here’s one that’s a keeper.
4. Rick Ross – “Oyster Perpetual”
To be frank, this is the type of song I’d prefer Ross to make. Keep feeding fans these, homie.
3. Slum Village – “Yes Yes” (Prod. By J. Dilla)
Dilla’s presence is felt from the grave on this new Slum Village track, produced by the late great.
2. M.O.P. ft. Mobb Deep – “Street Certified”
After all these years, we can comfortably say that few MCs can create a street track like these New York City legends.
1. Future ft. Pharrell, Pusha T & Casino – “Move That Dope”
Future, please say the Vandross, dropped this Hiroshima of a heater on the Internets to much fanfare. This song bangs.
