Friday as back again, and if you’re anything like us, you’re ecstatic about taking a deserved load off. To do this properly, we’ve provided a soundtrack via The Wrap Up: Hip-Hop Wired’s Top 10 Songs Of The Week.

Rap music was pretty dope over the last seven days, as the Internets received a handful of audible treats from a list of notable MCs. One comes from the first signee of a label started by three of Hip-Hop’s elite businessmen. Another was created and curated by two former members of Diddy’s Hitmen production team. Higher on this compilation, you’ll find a track by a Long Beach newcomer who could make a serious run this year.

Find all of this in The Wrap Up in the gallery on the following pages. Share your thoughts in the comments section for good measure.

10. A-Trak & Lex Luger ft. Travi$ Scott – “100 Bottles”

La Flame was on high when the G.O.O.D. Music/Hustle Gang affiliate laid this track down.

9. Nickelus F – “Jewelz”

You can always count on the Sweet Petey for a potent rhyme or two. See above for proof.

8. Raz Simone – “They’ll Speak”

So this is what Lyor Cohen, Kevin Lyles, and Todd Moscowitz saw in this kid, eh?

7. Rick Ross ft. French Montana & Diddy – “Nobody”

Ricky Rozay’s take on The Notorious B.I.G.’s classic track didn’t go without scrutiny, but it is ill. Don’t front.

6. Scotty, Roosh Williams, Delorean & Worldwide – “Dreamers”

Bless your ears with some introspective lines about four MCs who dream of making it big. You have to respect that.

5. Pawz One ft. Termanology & Ras Kass – “Mind Power”

This song’s chorus looks a little funny in the light, but the verses warrant a few spins from any lover of thoughtful lyrics. No lie.

4. Fly Union – “Stay Alive

This Ohio rap collective knows how to make a stone cold groove. We’re looking forward to Loose Release. That’s the name of their upcoming project, by the way.

3. Prodigy, Bun B, Remy Banks & CharlieRED – “Where’s Your Leader?”

The streets are in for a treat if this is any indication of what Sean C. & LV cooked up on Loud Dreams Vol. 1.

2. Vince Staples ft. James Fauntleroy – “Nate”

The Def Jam signee from Long Beach had much different aspirations than your average kid. Hear why above.

1. ScHoolboy Q ft. Raekwon – “Blind Threats”

Quincy and the Chef connected, and it’s just as mean as you’d assume. Their bars come from a place of struggle, but they’re far from struggle bars.
