Friday is here, and we understand that most people are getting ready for tonight’s activities. But before you partake in said fun, enjoy the best Hip-Hop had to offer via The Wrap Up: Hip-Hop Wired’s Top 10 Songs Of The Week.
Over the last seven days, we received a list of tracks that ranged from traditional boom-bap rap to truly experimental, genre-bending audible treats and everything in between. Much of this batch of material came from established MCs, though some newcomers managed to find their way into the pack.
One of the records featured is a feature heavy remix to a current hit record that’s perhaps the best remix we’ve heard in some time. Another cut comes from an Atlanta cat some would say has fallen from grace. Needless to say that he proves naysayers wrong.
Hear it all via The Wrap Up after the jump. Give us your thoughts in the comments.

10. Prodigy & Alchemist – “Murder Goes Down
P’s good bars are spotty these days, but he delivered this time over a classic beat by Alan The Chemist.
9. Nipsey Hussle ft. Pacman – “Where Yo Money At” (Prod. By DJ Mustard)
This is a straight West Coast track. If that’s your thing, you be pleased. If not, you’ll dance all the same.
8. Vic Mensa – “Feel That”
The Chicago rapper’s latest track is lighthearted and catchy. Struggle rappers, you can do that when fans know your bars are up to par.
7. Kid Cudi – “Balmain Jeans”
Yes, we know Cudder does his sing-rap thing on this song, but it’s too smooth to deny.
6. Tyga, Nicki Minaj & Lil Wayne – “Senile”
Quite frankly, it’s shocking that I enjoy this song as much as I do.
5. Que ft. Pusha T, A$AP Ferg, & Snoop Dogg – “OG Bobby Johnson (Remix)”
It’s hard to follow-up such a hard hitting track with a remix, but Que managed to pull it off. He gets extra points for spitting a new verse, too.
4. Stat Quo ft. Scarface – “The Way It Be”
It’s important to give yourself a dose of real rap more often than not. If you agree, click play above.
3. Joell Ortiz – “Bars”
As usual, bars are all this Slaughterhouse MC had to give. These bars are mean and vicious.
2. ScHoolboy Q ft. A$AP Rocky – “Californication”
Groovy Q and Rocky added another dope collabo to the mix with this Oxymoron bonus cut. We’re sure that you’ll agree.
1. Snoop Dogg – “Cadillacs” (Prod. By Madlib)
Tuning into this track have us wondering if anyone else can make a track as smooth as Snoopy D-O-G-G.
