While making his rounds, Fabolous stopped by Power 105’s The Breakfast Club to promote his Christmas Day release, The Young OG Project.

The newly signed Roc Nation unit discussed his ’90s-inspired album, presence in Hip-Hop and having longevity in the rap game. Loso also weighed in on the ongoing debate of who wears the crown as the King of New York, and touched on the fight that ensued between Diddy and Drake.

Hit the gallery to see the interview’s best highlights. Can you believe the part about Eve? Imagine if she hadn’t been so kind…

Throw Your Diamonds in the Sky

Loso admitted he joined Roc Nation in order to further build his brand.

Young OG

The Young OG Project is currently to be released on Christmas day only as a digital compilation, but according to Fab, there are talks of releasing hard copies.

In Character

Fabolous purchased a retro beamer just to play the part for his upcoming ’90s-themed album. It’s actually his adolescent dream car.

King of New York

For Fab, there’s isn’t one single rapper who reigns over the Big Apple. There are several (kings), including himself.

Current Events

When asked if Fab has written a bar on the Diddy Vs. Drake debacle, the Brooklyn rapper played coy alleging he didn’t know much about what exactly went down. Still, even that wouldn’t stop him from putting his two cents on wax, should the mood strike. Fingers crossed?

Underrated

Loso recognizes his prowess behind the mic, but knows his name is still one that comes to the mind much later for the average Joe. He attributes the aforementioned to him not being sold as a gimmick.

Rihanna

Fab may or may not have a Rihanna collabo in the works. That would be fly, right?

No Such Thing as a Free Lunch

Fab made clear he isn’t at Roc Nation to receive a handout. He isn’t going to drop a single with Rihanna just because they’re both affiliated, but rather because his relationship with her is an organic one. That goes for anyone else.

Oochie Wally

Fab enlisted Chris Brown for a remake of the 2000 street heater “Oochie Wally” with Nas and the Bravehearts. It lives on The Young OG Project.

No Clearance

The Young OG Project was also going to boast an LL Cool J sample (“Doin’ It Well”) featuring Nicki Minaj and Trey Songz, but the track wasn’t cleared. Boo.

Sweep Her Off Her Feet

Touching on the Diddy and Drake situation again, Fab recounted a time where he had to woo Eve out of taking the beat from his now hit single “Make Me Better.”
