The talk of the current news world is without a doubt the Aaron Hernandez guilty verdict. Most likely things will remain the same for weeks to come. It’s doesn’t happen often but it’s always a fascinating and tragic occurrence when a man morphs from a professional millionaire athlete into a cold-blooded killer.
While Hernandez’s former NFL colleagues were empathetic on the matter, the Hip-Hop community is expressing a noticeable amount of sympathy for the former New England Patriot.
Maybe it’s comes from culture being rooted in the streets where wasted talent isn’t all too uncommon. Nonetheless, a group of respectable rappers voiced their opinions on Twitter, even if their followers didn’t like what they were reading. (It should be noted that Joe Budden endured a bit of slander for his outspokenness, though.)
Although the life without parole sentence hasn’t quite set in, Hernandez still has 99 problems to worry about. CNN is reporting that he will still stand trial for two murders that occurred at a Boston nightclub in July 2012. (No date has been scheduled as of yet.)
Check out the rappers who had the balls to speak on the Aaron Hernandez guilty verdict in the gallery below.
