It’s a well-known fact that Wiz Khalifa is Hip-Hop’s reigning weed chieftain but outside the lenient parameters of Los Angeles, law enforcement don’t always share his perspective for making love to Mary in public.
Such was the case during Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards when photographer Jeff Kravitz witnessed a Las Vegas police officer run up on the Blacc Hollywood rapper when he was brazenly puffing a joint on the red carpet.
“Wiz Khalifa smoked weed on the Billboard Music Awards red carpet blazing some AK-47,” Kravitz recalled on his Facebook page. “A police officer told him to keep that sh*t off his carpet or he’d have to arrest him. It might be legal for medical in Vegas, but the cops don’t have the tolerance they do in LA.”
Apparently the smokey artist obliged as he traveled along the carpet without incident and went on to perform his No. 1 hit, “See You Again” alongside Charlie Puth and Lindsey Stirling and joined Fall Out Boy for a live rendition of “Uma Thurman” later that night.
