Lupe Fiasco has always been a bit of a Hip-Hop maverick, and we mean that in the best of ways. This year alone, the Chicago visionary dropped two critically acclaimed projects and is now teasing a sequel to his 2007 album, The Cool.
It all began this past Sunday when a fan tweeted to Lupe Fiasco inquiring about one of The Cool‘s central characters, Michael Young History.
“Who/what brought mike young history back to life?” tweeted @kiddcurt. Fiasco responded with, “Cool 2…you not ready for what we got in store!”
Fiasco’s Tetsuo & Youth, released at the top of the year, and the free mixtape PHARAOH HEIGHT released back in August has kept fans satisfied as they await the rapper’s next moves. While Fiasco was mum and abruptly ended all chatter surrounding the possibility of The Cool 2, that hasn’t stopped fans from flooding his timeline with inquires.
