ScHoolboy Q‘s Blank Face LP dropped today and you can listen to it here. But he understands if you can’t right now.
After months of planning and anticipation, ScHoolboy Q‘s album Blank Face LP is finally here. The album features appearances from Kanye West, E-40, Anderson .Paak, Vince Staples, Tha Dogg Pound, Miguel and more.
While the July 8 release date was revealed weeks ago, events in the last couple of days have made the date a hard one to promote music on. The last three have been dominated with the news and aftermath of the back-to-back killings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile at the hands of police officers. Adding to that is the news of Thursday nights sniper attack on citizens and police officers in Dallas who were protesting the shootings.
Q has been active on social media promoting the album, but even he knows that the timing is a bit awkward. A fan reached out to Q saying:
Love your album @ScHoolBoyQ But unfortunately right now I can’t even enjoy it dawg. You deserve a better window of time then this.
Q agreed saying:
I understand bro, on a day I’m supposed 2 Happy I’m sitting Here fucked up about everytHing goin on myself
