[SPOILERS AHEAD]
After the shocking death of Holly last episode of Power, Ghost and Tommy reunite to pick up the pieces and focus their attention on finishing the Lobos saga once and for all.
Tommy’s cacophony of emotions reaches a boiling point as he copes with Holly’s death. He won’t sleep in his loft and visibly seems rattled. Ghost helps Tommy get back on his feet, walking him through the loft and trying to get Tommy’s mind right for the mission at hand.
Lobos must die, and executing this plan has to be intricate and efficient. Tommy includes Tasha in their plan, and once again the band is back together. Despite their multitude of differences, the harmony between Tasha, Tommy and Ghost when dealing in organized crime is undeniable. They have always been a great team, and eliminating Lobos from their lives is just cause to bring their narcotic fueled dream team together again.

Sandoval convinced the authorities to use a civilian undercover van to transport Lobos. Greg Knox, ever the woke one, wanted to ride with Lobos to ensure the transition goes smoothly. Knox’s ulterior motive to get some kind of confirmation about James St. Patrick’s identity as Ghost became another incentive. As Sandoval tipped off Hugo to the route, the ambush commenced and Knox was shot twice. He survives, makes it back to the precinct and exposes the heist as an inside job. Of course, Knox is convinced that Angela set this up, but after returning from the brink of death, Knox will make certain that someone goes down for the Lobos heist.
While Ghost and Tommy finally had Lobos in their grasp, they let Lobos play one more mind game with them. Lobos threatens their loved ones and Ghost begins to balk. In his dispute with Tommy over what to do, they find a phone on Lobos and realize they could be followed soon. Lobos flees on foot and #GhosTommy pursue him. They eventually catch him after a brief struggle between Ghost and Lobos, and that’s when Ghost decides to kill Lobos in the middle of the woods. All decorum and tact were thrown out of the window, as Ghost decided that Lobos had to die immediately.
With Lobos dead, Ghost looks ahead as he proclaims “I’m finally free”. Yet as Power teaches us, when one problem is solved, three more take their place. Discussing the termination of protection services with the head of his security team Dean, Ghost discovers that Dean knows everything about him. In one of the the most poignant reveals in the series, Dean reveals himself to be Milan; The Serbian connect who was feared by Ghost’s former primera Vladimir and had millions of dollars in product destroyed by Tommy and Julito! Milan also was behind that bloody Araña card that Ghost found in his office. Milan and his security have checkpoint around Ghost’s entire life, and killing Milan won’t destroy the cartel in the same way as killing Lobos. Milan wants retribution for his lost product and enlists Ghost to hit the streets once again for proper repayment.

As he broke the news to Tommy, Ghost decides that he has to get back in the game. He has no choice. Tommy revels in this news, but points out that Angela now becomes even more of a liability than ever. Angela committed to Ghost because she thought the drug dealing life was behind him. Rekindling that narcotic life would make Angela reject Ghost and blow the whistle potentially on everything. Tommy wants to kill her (of course), but Ghost finds another way; He breaks up with Angela in one of the most emotional scenes on the show.
Throughout this season, Ghost has made what he considers “The Right Decision” in order to live his happily ever after. He left Tasha for Angela. He destroyed his own cartel. He continuously kept secrets from his loved ones. He recklessly kills Lobos and breaks things off with Angela, all in an attempt to correct past mistakes. What seems like the right decision now, may end up exploding in his face down the line.
Some huge revelations we got this week included:
1) Tasha finding the separation papers in Ghost’s travel bag. She begrudgingly signed them, but you could see that the finality of their relationship hit her hard. This makes her a wild card and who knows how she’ll react going forward
2) Tasha revealing to Ghost that Holly is pregnant – Tommy still doesn’t know and now that Ghost is aware, keeping this secret could make their friendship volatile again
